TAG You're It! Question Collaboration with Payton

Hey guys! This is a collaborative tag with the amazing Payton. Go check her blog out, she's such a sweetie and her blog is so creative. We've been emailing for a bit and we came up with 10 questions all up. I love doing tags, they're always so fun. So here we go!

1. What is a product that you've wanted for the longest time?
I've definitely been eyeing Eyeko Brow Gel for a while. Honestly, the past few weeks, I've been having bad brow days. I've really wanted to find a product that is perfect for me.

Also been really wanting the limited edition NARS set from Mecca. "And God Created Women pt.2" It's so beautiful. [Click Here]

I've also been dying to get my hands on some lippies.
MAC [Matte] Shade: Please Me
Bare Minerals [Marvellous Moxie Lipstick] Shade: Speak Your Mind

Yeah it's quite a bit haha, I'll probably try to get my hands on them next month.

2. If you had to wear only one foundation for the rest of your life, which one would it be?
Makeup Forever HD foundation, by far. It's not available for sale in stores for all who live in Melbourne. However, I buy mine online and you can get one today HERE.

3. Your house is burning down, which product do you grab first?
I'd definitely grab my Naked2 Palette. To be honest, I only use about two - three shades in the palette religiously. However, it's one of my most expensive products and one of the prettiest too hehe.

4. What's your latest "empty" product?
I think my last "empty" product was the Garnier Micellar Water. [Click Here] This is essentially a makeup remover or a gentle cleanser. I mentioned this in my "LOO$E CHANGE MENU" post. So go check it out to see what it's all about!

5. What is a quote(s) you live by?
"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone."

I don't necessary "LIVE" by this quote. However, I do believe that to be beautiful, and I mean beautiful from the inside out. You have to have that beauty radiate from your inner self and your personality and heart. Makeup and clothes are fun and rocking a bold lip and smokey eyes are sexy. But true beauty comes from the heart. Sorry for the corny mini speech haha!

6. If you could only buy makeup from one brand, which brand would you buy from?
For a high end brand, NARS is for sure my favourite. I love their foundation, I love their lipsticks, I love their blush and bronzers.
As a drugstore brand, I'd probably have to say Covergirl. This is solely based off the fact that I cannot live without their mascara!

7. Which type of beauty product do you buy the most of? (ie. lippies, blushes, bronzers)
At the moment, definitely lippies! I went a little crazy while I was in Malaysia and bought about 15 lippies and right now I have a whole lipstick rack on my vanity.
8. Is there one beauty product that you'd definitely recommend?
My holy grail mascara is the one product that I can't live without. Whenever anyone asks me for a beginners makeup product, I immediately recommend this. It's also in my "LOOSE CHANGE

9. How long have you been wearing makeup for?
It's hard to say. My first product of makeup that I played around with was eyeliner on my waterline when I was about 14? I think. After that it led on to BB creams, mascara, foundation, eyeshadow, liquid eyeliner. I had it all by the end of Year 9 (15 years of age).

10. If you had to be any mythical creature, what would you be?
Hmm, I honestly don't know what I would be but if I had to choose I'd definitely be something with superpowers, that'd be awesome.

Thanks so much for reading this! Comment down below what your answers would be, I'd love to know. I'm so sorry for not posting as frequently. Honestly, it's been a crazy week. I've been so stressed out trying to study for my exams. It was my birthday on Monday too, and that was super fun; followed by a few little celebrations with different friends throughout the week. Anyway, I'll stop ranting now.

PS: I would like to thank Payton for being such a babe and being so patient with my busy schedule. It was so fun working with you on this and I'm looking forward to working on more with you! I tag Angel Lee, Ashleigh Calder and Fifi! I'll be tweeting those that I tag tomorrow!

Love you!

Affordable Fresh Spring Face! [Garnier BB Miracle Skin Perfector & Rimmel Stay Matte Powder REVIEW]

Hey girlies! Spring/summer is finally saying hi to us girls who live down under. Today I'll be sharing with you two affordable products that I think are a perfect combination for Spring and I'll be doing a brief review on both of them. Also, for some reason, this spring is actually feeling a lot more like summer.

GARNIER BB MIRACLE SKIN PERFECTOR

Ever since the craze about BB cream started a few years ago, I strayed away from it. The colour selection would always either be too yellow, too grey or too pink for my face and it looked like a mask whenever I put it on. Also, it was never enough coverage for my face. It was such a bummer because BB cream is meant to have so many benefits for the face.

Garnier BB Miracle Skin Perfector was a game changer for my face after I purchased it from Malaysia. Also, my skin has been getting a lot better lately so I'm not too fussed about coverage. I have to warn you that the packaging of this in Malaysia is actually different to the States and Australia so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that the product itself is still the same. (Also, there is no colour selection for this in Malaysia but I've seen two to three different shades in Priceline) If you're interested CLICK HERE

I love this BB cream because it's so lightweight and it somehow magically matches my skin tone perfectly. It honestly feels lighter than applying moisturiser and you don't even need a brush for it. It's  perfect for a quick fix when I'm late to school or work. As amazing as it is, there are a few small things that I don't like about it. It's definitely not suitable for days where you want a long lasting wear.  I would say that for me personally, it's perfect up until the 5 hour point. Which isn't too bad in my opinion. Also, I wouldn't recommend this for those who have extremely oily skin. I do believe that there are more pros than cons in this case and for the price that it was (RM15) it was definitely a steal! This is perfect for those who have pretty decent skin and just want a little bit of coverage to even out the skin.

RIMMEL STAY MATTE PRESSED POWDER

excuse the reflection

Now let me talk a bit about the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder  which is definitely known by many and it's nothing new. But I love the combination of the powder with this BB cream and the two of them together are so affordable. Rimmel Stay Matte Powder retails for AU$12.95. This powder has been my Holy Grail for ages, and I don't plan to switch it up any time soon. (For those of you who are interested, I buy the transparent one)

I can honestly say that it's much better than any of the high end products that I've tried (Including MAC, Bobbi Brown and NARS) I get pretty oily during spring/summer so this is perfect. If I have to say one thing that I don't like about it, it would have to be the packaging. I'm not being a snob, I just want to give a thorough review. But it's definitely not a big issue considering how cheap it is. I would definitely be careful with this if I was to travel with it or have it lying in my bag. It does smash easily and the lid tends to fall off. (If you're travelling, this can be avoided by putting cotton pads in between). I would avoid this powder if I had dry or flakey skin.

I hope you enjoy this post and tell me what your thoughts are if you've tried any of these products :)
LOTS OF LOVE!

Sigma Eyeshadow Review! #SIGMASPRING

Hey there girly! Most of you who follow me on instagram would know that I've recently become a Sigma Affiliate, YAY! Just want to put out there as a disclaimer that Sigma sent me these products as gifts to welcome me to the program, along with some other ones. However, I'm not being paid to tell you that they're amazing or anything like that, it's actually my honest opinion. So today I'm bringing to you a review on two of the eyeshadows that I received.

I received these in the mail during the time that I was in Malaysia. To be honest, I was really shocked when I opened the two colours. I usually stick to neutrals with my eyeshadow but I have to admit that the deep purple (Moonbeam) is absolutely gorgeous. So it took me a while to play around with them and I finally found a look that I'm happy with. Part of my beauty bucket list was to play around with more colour, and this definitely helped. I'm in the process of filming a short clip on the eye look so I can't wait to release that!

I'll start off by saying that Sigma never ever fails to present their products in beautiful and classic packaging. I swatched both of them the moment I opened it. Initally, I was in love with the shade BEWARE and wasn't too fond of Moonbeam. But in combination, they compliment each other very nicely along with a dark plum and black. I'm going to be honest and tell you straight up that the pigmentation is not as great as eyeshadows from brands such as Urban Decay or Too Faced. However, their colour selection for these are much nicer and much more travel friendly. I'm actually planning to purchase a few more.

                                                                   Beware, Moonbeam

As much as I loved playing around with the eyeshadows, I cannot stress enough how amazing the eyeshadow brush that they gifted to me is. I honestly didn't realise what a big difference one tiny brush could make but the E55 Shading Brush knocked my socks off. I would seriously recommend this to those who wear eyeshadow on a daily basis, it's a real lifesaver. It's definitely my favourite product out of all the ones that they sent to me. Stay tuned for more. Coming up real soon is two of the cheapest and best Spring/Summer face products from your local drugstore.

Corny note: I want to remind all of you how beautiful you are. In recent events, I've learned how easy it is for us girls and even sometimes guys; to over-think things or let what other people say get in the way of how we live our lives. Rather than honouring what other people think or say about me, I filter every thought and circumstance through the fact that my God loves me and know that it's all I need. You are loved, you are beautiful and don't you ever forget it! I'm got some exciting news to announce, and I'll be writing a heart to heart post about it soon.

How I Wash My Makeup Brushes!

Hey all you beautiful people! As I promised, here's my post on how I wash my makeup brushes! This was actually requested from someone so I'm super excited to write about this. It's a pretty easy thing to do so it'll be quite a short post. I hope you enjoy it anyway.

After a long week or two of making yourself look like an absolute stunner with all your favourite makeup brushes, things tend to get a little bit.. dirty. I know that for me personally, washing my brushes are such a chore! However, it's so important. Why? You are constantly using the brushes to touch your precious and sensitive face. Every single day, it collects so much bacteria and all the chemicals from your foundations and eyes-shadows clump up in the fibers of your brushes, so it's super important to wash them. Featured above are some of the brushes that I use frequently. I'll be showing you what I love washing my brushes with, and how I do it!

Products that I use? You can always grab a makeup brush shampoo at Priceline or Sephora, but I've found that the most effective way of cleaning my brushes, is with a deep clean shampoo that I would use on my hair! Also, for any lipstick brush or mascara brush that has lots of waterproof makeup clumped up on it, Olive oil is a great way to break all of that away and give your brushes a nice shine. My personal favourite shampoo for this can simply be bought from Coles or Safeway. It's not too expensive and it definitely lasts for a while. Herbal Essences Drama Clean Shampoo [CLICK HERE]. It retails for AU$7.10 at Coles but is on sale very often so I usually stock up when it is. You can really use any Olive Oil for this. This specific one is Ginvera Light Olive Oil that I purchased in Malaysia from Guardian.

Check out this dirty lil thing. This is my Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki Brush [CLICK HERE] which is one of my absolute favourite brushes. It gives an amazing finish for any foundation. I use this baby nearly every day so it gets pretty dirty, as you can see.

Start by running your brush under some warm water. When washing brushes, always make sure it's facing downwards so that all the dirt and grime is being washed out of the brush, rather than facing the tip of the brush toward the water. Do this just so you can get it wet enough to lather shampoo on it.

Put a pea sized amount of shampoo on the tip of the brush and start moving it in circular motions around your palm, then.. SQUEEEEZE! After doing so, you'll start to see all the dirt and grime spill into the sink. This part may be gross but I find it quite exciting. (I'm quite strange). You may need to repeat this a few times depending on how dirty your brush is. It's really as simple as that.

Wash the brush downwards again to rinse off all the shampoo. (Make sure you do this thoroughly!)

Here's the end result! Its good as new haha. Depending on what brush it is, put a tiny drop of Olive oil and rinse it off to give it that extra shine. Personally, I don't like putting olive oil on my brushes that I use for foundation or eyeshadow. But I do so with brushes that are used to apply oil based makeup.

I hope this helped all of you and that you enjoyed this post!
Love you guys,

Collective Clothing Haul [Colour Lack]

Hey everyone! I'm so excited to write this post as I've been planning and working on trying to get a fashion post up for you for so long. This is a collective haul of things that I've bought over my trip in Malaysia and I think it's safe to say that only about 10% of it is from what I bought right before my trip or after. Just want to put out there that this is definitely not a sponsored post and I don't want any of my readers to get the wrong impression. I'll try my best to find links for all of these but they will be very limited, so I apologise. Also, there's a lot more things that I bought but I've separated them into colour themes. (OCD much?). Anyway, enough of my rambling, let's get to it!
WARNING: This is going to be a long post

Grey Levi's Crew Neck [RM99.00 / AU$35 || SIZE: S] : I actually picked this up from the men's section at a branded factory outlet in Malaysia. I'm was immediately won by the fact that it was warm, grey and basic. I'd definitely pair this with a pair of jeans or leggings for a lazy day.

MNG Hunter Sweater [RM100.00 / AU$37 || SIZE M ] : I'm absolutely in love with this. The photo and hanger does not do it justice. I love the way it has a crisp, fresh and clean look. I was a bit hesitant on buying this when I first went to the store because they ran out of my size. However, I wore this yesterday and I love the way it's so baggy and comfy. I paired this with a pair of black ripped jeans, white low top converse and a denim flannel tied around my waist.

Forever 21 Red Flannel [RM99.00 / AU$35 || SIZE: S ] : This is a good basic to have lying around. I'm all about clothes that you can pop on without having to think too much about styling it. It's also definitely one of the only items in this haul that has a pop of colour. To be honest, I wasn't too excited about the colour combination that this flannel has, but the quality of the material won me. It's 100% cotton which is amazing. I would style this as a button up with a pair of jeans and combats or jump on the bandwagon and tie it around my waist.

Zara Beige Sweater [RM 39.90 / AU$13 || SIZE: S] : I have a confession, I bought this sweater in every colour. I am in love with Zara's line. I never shop at Zara unless I'm in Malaysia because it's way too pricey for me. This sweater fits so nicely and it's so comfortable too. The fourth item on the rack is the exact same one except in grey. I would style this half tucked in with a pair of denim shorts and a short necklace.

Pull & Bear Grey Cardigan [RM 99.00 / AU$35 || SIZE: S] : I bought this on my second day in Malaysia, and ripped a tiny hole in it on the third :( However, it's not too noticeable. Once again, it was grey and basic; and definitely a lazy day throw on. Sucked in, again.  I would style this with a white tee and jeans with a statement necklace and heeled booties.

Pull & Bear White Tunic [RM:59.90 / AU$20 || SIZE : XS] : At this point in the blog post, you're probably starting to realise how boring my wardrobe for Spring is. Woops, sorry. I'm not too fond of wearing tops that show my bum when I wear leggings. Honestly, I bought this tee solely for that purpose. It's pretty common and basic but the sleeves have a tiny bit of detailing. I would style this with a pair of boyfriend jeans, leggings or denim shorts.

* The fourth item, like I said before ; is the same Zara sweater *

Zara Studio T - Shirt : LINK [RM 79.90 / AU$ 28 || SIZE : S ] : I'm sorry that I don't have a full view of this but it wouldn't drape right on the hangers that spin. However, click the link for a full view. I love this tee because it's so basic but the design on the front makes it look classy and simple. I wanted to buy this in every colour but they ran out of my size. I would style this with a pair of black ripped jeans, a boyfriend denim jacket and a pair of heeled booties, combats or chucks.

H&M Cropped Mesh Top : [RM27.90 // AU$8.00 || SIZE : M] : I went back to H&M about 5 to keep checking if my size was in stock but I had no luck. The XS was too clingy and revealing but the M was a bit too big for my liking. However, I caved and bought the M anyway since it was so cheap. I do like the fact that the M is a little longer so it means I can easily pair it with a pair of high waisted jeans and a cardigan or leather jacket. Personally, I wouldn't wear this without wearing something on top of it as the mesh is pretty see through.

UNBRANDED Black Double Layered Tee with PomPoms : [RM25.00 // AU$9.00 || Free Sized]: My mum and I went to Berjaya Times Square which is a massive shopping centre. When I was younger, I would always buy heaps of things there because it was so cheap, but I never ended up wearing it. This (and the white version of it on the far right) were the only things that I bought from the several stores that we went to. I bought this because I thought it would be a good basic for spring and summer and the quality was pretty decent. I also like the fact that the straps are adjustable because most tops that were like this there had usually looked too low cut and skimpy.

H&M Striped Crop Cami [RM20.00 // AU$7.00 || SIZE : 06] : I saw this in the same section and immediately grabbed it. I love black and white striped basics. Although it's plain, it makes me feel a little less lazy since it has a pattern on it haha! I'd style this with a pair of high waisted jeans and heeled sandals.

*White Double Layered Tee with PomPoms is the same as the second item

Shoes? The first pair are a pair of the typical heeled Sandals, my sister gifted them to me. White low top chucks and Black high top chucks. [Heeled boots aren't mine hehe]

Black DIY Ripped Jeans : The photo isn't too great so I don't know if you can see the knee rips in the jeans. These are actually an old pair of jeans that I decided to rip up and I loved the result of it. It's also the only thing in this haul that isn't from Malaysia. I'd style this with pretty much.. anything.

H&M Blue Super Skinny High Waisted Jeans [RM 79.90 / AU$25 || SIZE : 27] : I've been searching for a good pair of high waisted jeans. It's usually pretty hard for me to find jeans because my hip starts a bit higher so it's usually either the waist will fit me and the length will be to short ; or the length would be perfect but the waist would be too big. I love the fact that H&M has measurements for both. I regret not buying a size smaller because I hear that they stretch in the wash and these are pretty loose to begin with. But I'd style this with a midi crop top and a cardigan.

* Bought the same jeans but in black *

AHH! Aren't you glad that's over? I hope not. I'm so happy to be able to finish writing this for you. I've been contemplating on creating a YouTube channel for the past few weeks but I'm still not too sure. Don't really want to be a noob :(

Hope you enjoyed this, stay tuned for "How I wash my Makeup Brushes" & "Sigma Look". Also, I'll be doing a blog post collab with one of the cutest bloggers ever.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Review! (With Swatches)

Hello there! Today I'll be writing a review on the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick. If you read my Beauty Bucket List you'd know that one of the things on my list was to be more adventurous with lippies and colours! I'm not usually much of a lipstick girl but during my trip in Malaysia I went a little bit crazy and bought a whole bunch of them for my lipstick look-book coming up soon! Keep posted for that and tonight I'll also be announcing something special coming up from Sigma.

Price: I bought these in Malaysia for RM20 each which is an absolute steal, however you can grab these at Priceline for AU$21.95. At the moment, priceline is having a deal (Buy 3 for the price of 2) ALSO! To all you Malaysian girls out there, there's a huge Guardian sale going down at The Curve and these are retailing for only RM15, so get on it.

Selection: I must say that the colour selection for this is absolutely amazing! I believe that they have a bit more than 40 colours to choose from which is pretty damn good for a drugstore brand if you ask me.

Packaging: I don't have much to say about the packaging. It's pretty simple and not too tacky, I'm a fan of anything with gold detailing so I don't have anything bad to say about it.

Content: Each lipstick contains 4.2g which is pretty standard. Since I just bought these, I'm not too sure how long they would last, it really depends how often you wear it.

Claims: "Finally, moisture rich colour to outshine the rest. New silky, lightweight formula lets you indulge your decadent side" I would definitely say that it's moisturising, silky and lightweight. However, the colours are not as pigmented as I would like them to be.

Application: This is definitely one of those lipsticks that provide you with moisture, so I would say that you could skip lipbalm on this one if you're having a good lip day. After applying, its your choice but I'd say popping on some gloss would allow you to be good to go.

Personal Experience, Colour choices & Swatches.

835 Berry Couture, 423 Pink Velvet, 805 Kissable Pink, 415 Pink in the Afternoon

835 Berry Couture:
I was a little disappointed and at the same time pleased with the colour of this. I wanted to be a little adventurous and get a crazy purple lipstick for my lookbook, but when I got home and tried it out, I realised that it was pretty simple and dull (which is what I love wearing on an everyday basis). So for those who want an everyday lipstick that has a purple undertone, this is perfect. It's definitely quite sheer and subtle too.

423 Pink Velvet: This was the first one that I bought out of all four. It's perfect for a night lipstick as it's quite bold and more pigmented than the other four too. It has an obvious pink undertone when applied and is definitely quite versatile. I even convinced my mum to get one too!

805 Kissable Pink: I've been playing around with this colour and I'm not too sure how I feel about it. It's definitely a more baby pink and lighter than what I'd usually go for. This is definitely the least pigmented out of the rest due to the fact that it's so light.

415 Pink In The Afternoon: LOVE THIS SO MUCH OH MY LORD! Not even going to bother trying to criticize this. I love the colour, pigmentation, application and moisture of this. I don't know why, but I feel like the formula differs to the rest. It has a slight coral hint to it but is still the perfect MLBB colour. I could wear this every single day.

Hope you enjoyed this review :)

Malaysia Makeup Haul! #PARTONE

Hey loves! It's been ages since I've blogged due to the fact that I've been in Malaysia. I've been planning heaps of things for my blog while I'm here and I'm so excited for what's to come. I've decided to bring to you a beauty haul. I've been shopping like a mad woman so I'll be doing hauls in parts, I hope you enjoy this!

1. Urban Decay Makeup Setting Spray (All Nighter):
[Click here] I was really excited to get my hands on this as I've heard many good things about it from Youtubers such as ThatsHeart. I've also been using it throughout my trip hoping that it would help my makeup last longer due to the humidity in Malaysia. To be honest, I have mixed feelings about this, let me know if you'd like a review! I bought this for RM105 which would be about AU$33

2. Benefit Hoola Bronzer: [Click here] I had been wanting to get this bronzer for a really long time. I'd always see my sisters use it and many of my friends too. I haven't tried it yet because the packaging is so beautiful, I really don't want to open it. Nevertheless, I will definitely let you know how it goes. This was purchased for about RM120 which would be about AU$40, I actually discovered that it's cheaper in Australia than it is here, which is disappointing.

3. MAC Lipsticks: [Click here] I went a little bit crazy with lippies during this trip, I think I purchased more than 10 different brands of lipsticks and glosses, woops. I really didn't realise how much of a drastic change a bold lippy can make! I purchased them in the shades Lovelorn and Speed Dial. (Will do a more detailed post on it.) I am in love with the consistency and finish of both of them. I purchased it for RM70 each which is definitely much cheaper than Australia.

4.Nars Blush ORGASM: [Click here] Nars has always been one of my favourite brands. However, I'm not really much of a blush girl. But I've definitely been trying to experiment with more blushes lately and I thought that Orgasm would be a no brainer. (Do ignore the name of the blush haha!) I don't remember how much I purchased this for because I got a discount off it. I haven't tried it out yet but I'll write a review on it eventually.

5. Too Faced Primed and Poreless Powder: [Click here] When HeyClaire said that this was one of her holy grail products, I put it on my wishlist right away. Haven't had the time to try it out yet but my first impression on would be; LOVE the packaging but due to the fact that it's a loose powder I would imagine that it would get pretty messy. I purchased this for about RM120.

6. Tarte Eye Treatment: I can't find a link for this because it's a limited edition sample that I received because I spent a tad too much at Sephora.

7. Too Faced 'Natural Eyes' Palette:
[Click here] Oh my they changed the packaging of this!! It's beautiful. I remember my sister doing my makeup for me for a formal when I was younger and she used this on my eyes and I fell in love with it. I would say that it's a dupe for the Naked 2 Palette but it's not that much cheaper and there are less shades. I've used this twice on this trip and love it, I've already got photos for a review and swatch photos too. I purchased this for about RM130 which would be about AU$45

8. Benefit "They're Real" Push Up Liner: [Click here] I've seen so many reviews on this and so many people raving on it, one of the girls who was working at Sephora also had it on and it looked beautiful on her. I can't wait to try this out. I purchased it for RM115 which would be about AU$35

9. Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Eyeliner: [Click here] I haven't been rocking my winged liner as often due to getting red eyes pretty frequently so my sister let me try her Chanel eyeliner to put on my waterline. LOVED IT! It was so cheap in Malaysia so I purchased it immediately. It's in the shade 70 BLACK SHIMMER which is quite grey to be exact and it's perfect for a subtle smokey eye. I purchased it for RM78.

Sorry if this post was boring or repetitive. Do let me know if you want a review on anything! More posts will be up soon lovelies :)
