Let's talk about LIPS || Favourite Lippies + Taking care of your lips

Hello everybody! As you can probably tell by the title of this post, I'm gonna be talking all about LIPS! I am absolutely obsessed with lippies, which actually made planning this post really hard because I couldn't decide on my favourites and which ones to feature. Because honestly, if I really did talk about all my favourites, this post would go on forever. I chose some of my favourites and the ones that I wear the most often and categorised them. I tried my best to do a mixture of high end and lower end lip products. Anyway, hope you enjoy!

BOLD & BEAUTIFUL
So these are the lippies that I'd usually reach for when I'm feeling a bit adventurous or feeling like trying something out of my comfort zone. I usually wear these and test them out when I'm out with my family or doing errands so that I can get a feel of them before I wear them out with friends or something.

Top to bottom: Silkygirl Moisture Boost [Wine], Innoxa Lipstick [Pink Carnation], Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick [Berry Couture], Loreal Infallible Lipstick [Forever Fuchsia]

Bottom to top : Wine, Pink Carnation, Berry Couture, Forever Fuchsia

Silkygirl Moisture Boost Stick [Wine]: I purchased this from Malaysia a while back because I was looking for a cheap lippy to last me the trip, they were so amazing that I bought one in nearly every single colour. It was amazing how cheap it was (RM13) (AU$4) due to the fact that the quality and staying power of these are AMAZING. I think this wine colour is a really gorgeous colour especially in winter yet it's not too dark so I can usually get away with wearing it in summer too.

Innoxa Lipstick [Pink Carnation]: I got this sent to me by Innoxa about a week ago and when I first saw it I never thought that I would have liked it. I don't own anything like this in my collection due to the fact that I always thought that it would never suit my skin tone and it was way too baby pinkish for me. However, the other day I thought I would play around with a really sculpted and bronzed face along with a subtle smokey eye and this on my lips. I fell in love with the texture and how plump it made my lips look. I also think this would look really gorgeous on any blondies out there!
It's actually on sale at priceline now for AU$10 so go check it out!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick [Berry Couture]: I've always wanted to try a really dark purple lippy, but I thought I would start off with a subtle Berry colour. The photo above with the swatch doesn't really do it justice, it's much more purple when applied to the lips. I think it's a lovely colour for any skin tone really, it's not too crazy yet it's a good way to ease into wearing purple lippies. It retails for AU$21.95 at Priceline [LINK]

Loreal Infallible Lipstick [Forever Fuchsia]: I received this as a birthday present by my friend Brian [THANKS B!] He thought that I totally hated it but I tried it on when I got home and I thought that the colour was so stunning. This is the perfect night colour and I also like wearing this when I'm wearing all black. I love the way it gives a pop of colour and really compliments my new hair. I actually couldn't find it on Priceline's online store so I'm assuming that Loreal may have discontinued this edition.

"NAKED LIPS"
I only have about 5 nude hippies in my collection but these are two of my favourite, both high end and drugstore.

Top to Bottom:  Benecos Lipstick [Pink Honey] , NARS Lipstick [Catfight]

Left to right: Benecos Lipstick [Pink Honey] , NARS Lipstick [Catfight]

Benecos Lipstick [Pink Honey]: HANDS DOWN MY FAVOURITE LIPSTICK! I got this pretty recently and I've pretty much been wearing it for the whole holidays. It looks so pretty on the lips and it's so perfect for an everyday look. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who's looking for the perfect everyday lipstick. I got mine from Natures Health Box and it retails for 7 pounds since its a UK site. [LINK]

NARS Lipstick [Catfight]:I've already talked about this lipstick quite a lot. If you want to know more about it you can check out my post on "The Best Of NARS" But I think it's a really pretty colour and it's a nice matte finish too.

"ALL DAY, EVERYDAY"
My favourite everyday lippies!

Top to Bottom: Silkygirl Moisture Boost Stick [Latte], M.A.C Lustre [Lovelorn], Essence Lipstick [Natural Beauty], Lavera Lipstick [Rosewood Dream].

Left to right: Silkygirl Moisture Boost Stick [Latte], M.A.C Lustre [Lovelorn], Essence Lipstick [Natural Beauty], Lavera Lipstick [Rosewood Dream].

Silkyirl Moisture Boost Stick [Latte]: This was the first of the range that I bought when I was in Malaysia and it was the reason that I went back to the drugstore and bought the rest of them. As you can probably tell,  my everyday lipsticks usually have a pinkish tone to them and aren't too crazy. I guess you could say that this is a "MLBB" kinda lippy.

M.A.C Lustre Finish Lipstick [Lovelorn]: I bought this at the start of the year, it was definitely one of my first lipsticks, I fell in love with how easy it was to wear and how well it complimented my skin tone. I included this in the collection as a higher end option for those who like the brand name.

Essence Lipstick [Natural Beauty]: Before I say anything else, I just have to let you know that this only retails for AU$5 at priceline! INSANE. It always amazes me when I see how affordable the products from Essence are. I also bought this when Priceline was having their 40% off sale which made it pretty damn dirt cheap. I think it totally goes with the name that it's given. It's so natural and beautiful on the lips and I love putting this in my handbag to go as I have a few of these so I don't really mind if it melts or gets crushed.

LIPCARE FAVES!

Taking care of your lips are so important! As fun as it is to play around with lippies and colours, there's nothing worse than product on dry, cracked lips. It's so important to make sure that your lips are moisturised and exfoliated so that the product goes on beautifully.

Lipice Lipbalm: I believe that these are only sold in Malaysian pharmacies. I have this in the Strawberry flavour and I love it! Every time I go back to Malaysia, I purchase a tonne of these bad boys. The amazing thing about them is the tingling ice sensation that it leaves on your lips. I throw these in my handbag and usually use them when I'm out, not when I'm home.

EOS Lipbalm [Mint]: I'm a really big fan of EOS Lipbalms, I remember how excited I was when I received my first one when my best friend went to America a few years ago. However, I was amazed when I received this from my brother's girlfriend when she got back from America. I always get really excited when I get to try things that aren't available in Australia and I also hadn't ever tried the Mint one. I love the taste and feel that it leaves, it's so fresh and minty! Definitely another one of my handbag / to - go lip care product.

Vaseline: Basic, but essential. Like I said, I don't like using lip balms when I'm home because I find that intensive care prodcuts like vaseline and paw paw are much more effective. I love popping this on right before I sleep and waking up with hydrated and plump lips.  You can grab this at any supermarket or pharmacy.

Nude By Nature PAWPAW Ointment: This is AMAZING. When I first got this, I thought it was going to be like the usual pawpaw products that you see in pharmacies like Lucas PawPaw ointment. But the product comes out as a translucent moisturising liquid. I usually put this on right before I start doing my makeup and by the time I get around to putting my LOTD on, my lips are primed and ready. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone and it's the perfect gift too. I believe that you can find this at Priceline but I can't seem to find the link to it online. But I suggest going in store and checking it out!

WOW! That was a long post. Some of you probably think I'm insane due to the amount of lippies and lip care products that I use. But hey, lips are important okay! I really hope this post was helpful and I hope that you guys liked it. Next up will be another #COUNTDOWNTO2015 post very soon. I can't wait to write that. Hope you're all having an exciting Christmas holiday and get excited for what 2015 has prepared for you!

LOVE YOU ALL!

Staying organised + happy in 2015 || #COUNTDOWNTO2015

Hello everybody! As promised, here's the next post for my series #COUNTDOWNTO2015. Before I start rambling on, I actually met one of you the other day and you went up to me and asked me for a selfie, you were so cute too! It was so weird knowing that people are actually reading my blog and I'm not just talking to myself like a freak. I believe your name was Vivian (sorry if I'm not spelling it right) but HI! Anyway, today I'll be writing about how I stay organised throughout my year and the little things that make me happy and "motivate" me to stay organised. So let's get to it!

1. Keep your surroundings organised, it helps. Trust me. I'm the type of person where if I want to get things done and do them well, I need to do them somewhere where it's neat, clean and organised. I feel like if the things that surround me are a certain way, so will my headspace. But I'm also the type of person where if my room has been messy for a while, I need to wait for a Monday or the first day of the month to make sure it's clean so that it's a "fresh start". It's pretty silly but I'm trying my best to keep everything neat for the year of 2015.

2. Have a good "setup" If I have things to get done like homework or writing a blog post up, I really have to get in the zone. Everyone is different and everyone works differently under different conditions. Personally, I like to have everything nice and neat, with a drink or a small snack, music and a candle!
At the moment I'm currently LOVING a candle by Wicked Candle Company called Sweet Pea Vanilla. This is the first that I've tried of their range and it smells so good! I'll leave links at the end of this post if you're interested in getting one. Check out their other products too, it looks extremely promising. I think it's so worth it due to the fact that it smells so good and it' lasts for ages too. I'm also currently listening to Taylor Swift's new album on repeat all day everyday. Comment down below if you've been loving it too! (Not that keen on Shake it off though haha)

3. Write things down! Putting pen to paper always helps me remember things. Personally, using a time planner/diary always helps me keep what I'm doing on track. It's definitely not some people's cup of tea but I have been absolutely loving doing this for the past two years that I've tried it. This planner is the Mint Personal Planner from kikki.k which is a stationary store that has the cutest things ever. (Don't worry, I'm not sponsored by them or anything, I genuinely love their stuff)

This planner didn't come with a day to day type of diary, only an 18 month perpetual calendar but I bought the inserts on it which you can get online / in store too. This is the first year that I got a time planner rather than just an ordinary diary because I just think it would be so useful considering I'll be managing my blog, work and Year 12. I love the fact that it has little tabs that you can section off things. It also comes with a To do list page which is so useful! (Is it weird that my pens have to stay the same for the entire thing?) #OCD

4. Be thankful for the little things How corny right? But honestly, in the midst of our busy lives it's so rare for us to just stop and be thankful for all that we have and how privileged and blessed we are. A great thing to get into is just to think about a few things that you're thankful for. Maybe it's when you wake up or before you go to sleep. I love journalling about anything that I'm thinking about and one of my goals is to write down what I'm thankful for each day.

5. Treat yourself Whether it's giving yourself a cheat day after clean eating for a week, taking a short break from studying or just taking time out of your day to do what you like just to break away from everything that's going on around you. I am obsessed with the TV series Friends, I have literally memorised every single episode because I watch it so much. I even have it playing in the background while I'm sleeping or getting ready. If it's ever a really long day and I want to pamper myself, I usually pop on a facial mask, put an episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S on and use my favourite body butter. I think it's so important to do what you love or enjoy yourself so that you don't go completely insane from your busy life!

Anyway all you gorgeous people, I hope you enjoy this and stay tuned for more #COUNTDOWNTO2015 posts and some other posts too. So excited for the new year coming up. Don't forget to check out Wicked Candle Company for their amazing products and Kikki-K if you're looking to get some cute stationary or a planner.

WOTNOT Facial Wipes Review || Natural Organic

Hello everyone! Today I'm going to be reviewing WotNot facial wipes. I received this in the mail about 1-2 weeks ago and am so grateful that I've had the opportunity to try them out. Firstly, a bit about the WotNot. I fell in love with their company just by reading their website. I mean, eco friendly, biodegradable and organic products? Amazing. I love companies that make the effort to contribute as much as they can to the environment. Plus, I LOVE organic products. Also, I discovered that WotNot actually donates a percentage of their profits to Bear Cottage which is a foundation that supports children with illnesses. If that's not enough, their products are pretty damn amazing too.

I got sent two of their different types of face wipes so I'll be sharing with you my opinion on them!

First up is their aloe vera, rosehip and sweet almond oil wipes that claim to remove impurities gently and makeup (even water-proof mascara!) These are also free from harsh and drying chemicals.

These were the first ones that I tried out, and I loved them. One thing that really caught my attention was the smell of the wipes. I mean, it has a really subtle smell but they're so fresh and I love it. I've never been a fan of face wipes due to the fact that they always dried up my skin. However, this is a game changer. I used a whole 5 pack of these and I'm being 100% honest and telling you that these are by far the best face wipes that I've ever tried.

Now for the real question, does it really remove waterproof mascara? The answer, is YES! I gently rub this over my eyes 2-3 times and it does the trick. I would say that the only makeup that it doesn't completely remove is Benefit's push up liner which is a toughie for any make up remover.

These wipes are definitely perfect for anyone who has dry skin and is looking for a quick and easy fix to remove their makeup.

The green facial wipes contain extracts of pink grapefruit, papaya, rosehip and petitgrain that claims to thoroughly cleanse all the grime and make-up even waterproof mascara while gently nourishing skin. It also claims to be free from pore clogging oils and harsh drying chemicals.

Before I say anything else, can I just talk about how soft these wipes are? I have no idea what they put in these but they're just so gentle and soft on the skin yet so effective. The smell of these ones are really herbal. I'm so horrible at explaining how this smells but it definitely smells organic! I used about 2 of these and I'm also a pretty big fan of the green ones. However, at the moment my skin is really quite dry therefore the pink ones are my preferred option. But these are going to be perfect for me when my skin gets to that really gross oily stage in summer. I think these are perfect for a post workout quick fix, I love carrying this in my gym bag.

And YES! These also remove waterproof makeup which is pretty damn amazing. Whenever I use facial wipes, I always go over my face with Garnier Micellar Water.

So, where can you get these babies? If you live in Australia, PRICELINE! A pack of 25 retails for AU$7.99 and they also have an amazing travel pack which comes with a little mirror that retails for AU$9.99 which I think is pretty damn worth it! I'm definitely going to be grabbing myself the travel pack. If you're interested in checking them out, click HERE.

Thanks for reading and I hope you all have a good week :) Stay tuned for more #COUNTDOWNTO2015 posts. LOVE YOUUUU!

New Years Resolutions? 3 TIPS || #COUNTDOWNTO2015

As 2014 comes to an end, I can't help but be really excited for a new year. To some people, new years is just another day because nothing's going to change, right? Personally, the end of a year usually gives me an opportunity to reflect on the year that I had, be thankful, make room for improvement and change.

I used to always set the most unrealistic goals and end up disappointing myself because I never came close to achieving them. I'm sure we've all been through it before. Whether your new years resolutions include health goals, academic goals, personal goals or anything else, make 2015 the year that you can look back on and be proud of yourself.

So I decided to do something a little different for my blog and create a mini series called #COUNTDOWNTO2015 where I'll be doing one or two blog posts a week leading up to New Years. This post will be about New Years Resolutions, how to set them and how to stick to them. I'll also be sharing with you a list of my New Years Resolutions.

#1. Come up with categories

One of the biggest mistakes that I used to make was that I would come up with a bunch of goals for one area of my life and I would completely fail at achieving them. For example, in the year of 2013 I set all my new years resolutions revolved around my studies. "I'm going to get an A in all my subjects, I'm going to study every single day and I'll never hand in my work late" Right? Wrong.
Think about the different areas of your life that you would like to focus on and make goals for each of them. I like to draw up a little table in my journal and brainstorm.

HEALTH, FAMILY, FRIENDS, STUDIES, FINANCE.

By doing so, if you end up achieving your goals for that year, you would have enhanced all the areas of your life.

#2. Be realistic

Are you really going to go to the gym every single day while studying every single night and working twice a week? You'll be much more successful in achieving your goals if you stay true to yourself and realistic. Of course it's great to have a big dream! But start small and you might end up exceeding your expectations.

When I first joined my gym, I told myself that I would go 6 days a week. I kept up to it for about three weeks and I completely crashed and ended up not going for a whole week! I then decided to come up with a schedule that targeted different muscle groups that fitted into a 4/7 days a week plan. It made such a huge difference and I felt so much more motivated.

#3. Set mini goals along the way in order to achieve the bigger goal.

When I was younger I used to hate walking up the hill on the way to my primary school. One of my best friends taught me a trick. If I looked down at the steps that I was taking rather than looking up at the big hill, I got there much quicker and it felt like I was walking on a flat path. Strange, right?

If you set little goals and achieve them, you'll feel much more accomplished and it'll eventually lead up to you achieving your bigger goal.

My new years resolutions?

1. Start a YouTube channel & get my dream camera This is something I've wanted to do for the longest time, but I never really had the guts to do so. Why? I mean, there's so many YouTube channels out there but it's something I really have a passion for so I'm going to give it my best shot and we'll see where that leads me to.

2. Make my last year of high school, my best I'm going to be finishing up my final year of high school in 2015! WOOHOO! Pretty self explanatory but I hope that 2015 will be a great school year. Plus, new stationary!

3. Read more books When I was little, I was the biggest book worm. I still absolutely love reading but just never find the time to do it. I recently started reading a book called "The Pawn of Prophecy" which is BOOK 1 in a series called "The Belgariad" and I'm loving it!

4. Improve my blog I would love to change up my blog and make sure that I'm bringing the best quality photos, posts and soon to be videos haha!

I guess that's all I'm going to say as my other new years resolutions are pretty personal, I really hope that this helps some of you or inspired you to plan for a great year, I can't wait for the next post that I'm writing up for you, it's going to be a GREAT one.

Stay tuned for more posts!

November Beauty Favourites!

Hello loves! Today I'll be sharing with your my absolute favourites for the month of, NOVEMBER! Now before I start, November was one of the best months for me in general. My skin has gotten so much better this month, it's definitely because I've switched up my skin care routine and I'm so pleased with the results. Also, I'm now on school holidays which is awesome and I'm so excited for Christmas and New Years too. Anyway, let's get to it!

BEAUTY

MAC || Fix Plus Spray

I remember a few years back, this was the craze. I was never really too interested in this due to the fact that I thought it would just be like spraying water on my face. It's also quite pricey, so I never really thought about purchasing it. However, as most of you know I went to Malaysia for a bit a few months ago. M.A.C is much cheaper in Malaysia and I had a few discounts given to me so I thought that I would give Fix + a shot. I purchased this for RM60 which is about AU$20

One thing that I really struggle with all year round is my makeup looking quite cakey in some areas of my face due to  my combination skin. I have to say that this definitely does the trick for me once I've set my foundation with powder. With all that said, if you're on a budget, there are definitely alternatives so I'm not telling you to go out and buy one of these because it definitely doesn't work for everybody the same but I personally have been absolutely loving it for the month of November. If you're interested, it retails for AU$26.00 at M.A.C and you can grab it at any MYER store in the beauty department.

Links: M.A.C

AUSTRALIS || Oh Hai Brow! Brow Shaping Kit

Ever since I came back from Malaysia, I haven't been buying any makeup due to the fact that I didn't really need any more and I didn't want to waste money. However, during the Priceline 40% off cosmetics sale, I set myself a budget of $10 along with a $15 gift voucher that Priceline had mailed to me two days before the sale.

When I first tried this kit, I absolutely hated it. But it was only because I wasn't using it right! The kit comes with a light and dark brow powder, a brow wax, highlighter, tweezers and a double ended eyebrow brush. I was applying the brow wax and then the powder on top. However, I started to try getting some wax on the brush then dipping it straight into the powder, which really made a difference. I have to say that even the darker colour is much too light for my eyebrows unless I use my brow tint gel along with it. I wouldn't recommend it for girls with black eyebrows but this kit is absolutely perfect if you have lighter hair. Also, I have to say that the brow highlighter is an absolute winner.

This kit retails at Priceline for AU$16.95. However, because they were having the 40% off sale, I got it for about AU$10 which is great.

TARTE || Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush [Exposed]

Let me start off by saying a big thank you to my brother's girlfriend for spoiling me with this and so many other amazing products from America.

As most of you know, I'm not really one to wear blush. However, I did say on my beauty bucket list that I wanted to try experimenting with it more. This is the perfect blush for my skin tone due to the fact that it's a straight up nude shade therefore it looks very natural and it's easy to work with. I've been wearing this pretty much every time I apply makeup except for when I go to school.

Also, the detailing of the pattern on the product is gorgeous! How excited are all you Melbourne girlies out there for Sephora to open here?

Links: SEPHORA

EOS || Hand lotion

Once again, another goodie from America! I believe that the name of the pink one is "Berry Blossom". I have a serious obsession with hand cream and moisturisers. And usually, I don't like trying new products as such because I'm a creature of habit when it comes to scent. However, I am in love with this hand cream! I didn't even know that EOS made such products and I was so excited when I saw this.

Not gonna lie, the fact that it was pink made me extremely happy. This definitely ties with my Soap and Glory Hand Food Cream.

HOURGLASS || Ambient Lighting Powder [Diffused Light]

I featured this in my Haul post a while back and have been using it religiously ever since! I did a mini photo shoot and had this applied on my face, I never knew what a difference highlighter made!

I think the fact that it has a yellow undertone to it really compliments my Asian skin and brings the best out of the lighting that hits my face. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a subtle but effective highlighter. I've also heard that the other Ambient lighting powders are pretty damn great.

Now when it gets to pricey things, I usually tell my readers that cheaper alternatives can be found. However, this is one of the higher end products that I have to say cannot be matched. I also think that this is worth the investment. This retails for AU$59.00 at Mecca which is insane, I know. But I guarantee that you won't regret it.

Anyway loves, thanks for reading! Comment down below what your favourites for this month have been, love you!

The Best Of NARS Cosmetics

Heelllooo lovelies! It's been quite a while since I last blogged so it's really exciting for me to bring this post to you that I've been working on. NARS has definitely been one of my favourite high end brands for quite a while and over time I've accumulated quite a few products that I absolutely love. Please note that I completely understand how expensive these products are individually and they definitely weren't bought all at the same time.

NARS Lipstick; CATFIGHT

I was contemplating as to whether to include this because as much as I absolutely love the colour of this specific lipstick, I'm not the biggest fan of the consistency of it. In my opinion, due to the fact that this is a matte shade, it can be a little bit drying on the lips. However, the shade CATFIGHT is absolutely gorgeous. It's a pinkish nude mauve and a great everyday colour. It retails for AU$36 at Mecca, which in my opinion is way too pricey for a lippy. However, I asked my brother to get it for me when he went to America due to the fact that it's way cheaper over there. For all you lucky Americans out there, here's the link to it in the Sephora site.

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation

This is definitely an amazing foundation. Don't let the words GLOW scare you, I have oily skin and it is perfect for my skin. I did a review on this a while back so if you want more details on it, click HERE.

NARS Bronzer; Laguna

Before I tried out this bronzer, I didn't understand why everyone was so hyped up about it. I mean, it's just a bronzer, right? NOPE! It's amazing. Laguna bronzer is the perfect compliment to any blush and any skin type. At first, the gold specks kind of freaked me out but it's so subtle and beautiful when natural light hits the face. Also, using this as an eyeshadow is something that I've been loving lately. It retails at Mecca for AU$49.00 which is once again, way too pricey. If it's within your spending range, go ahead and get it. However, there are many bronzers out there in the drugstore that are pretty great too.

NARS Blush; Orgasm

I'm sure that by now everyone knows about this blush. Nars tends to sexualise the names of their products, not sure what they were thinking but it's definitely a great blush. I'm not one to be too obsessed with blush, and I definitely don't wear this on a daily basis. However, I wore this during in a flash photo test and it looks so pretty and natural! I'd definitely recommend this for someone who's been searching for a blush that suits their skin tone. This retails for AU$39.00 at Mecca.

Hope you've all enjoyed this quick post about NARS. I'm so sorry that my posting has been really irregular lately, I'm on school holidays at the moment so no excuses! I'll be posting a November faves really soon so keep a look out for that.

LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!
