Empties #1

Hello everybody! Today I am bringing to you my first empties post. Basically, an empties post is all the products that I have finished and accumulated over a certain period of time and I will be sharing them with you and letting you know my honest opinion on them. Also, I do apologise for how strange this photo looks, I've been playing around with taking photos for my blog and still haven't found a style that I'm absolutely in love with. I definitely do want to have the best possible quality and layout of photos for all of you, but it's quite difficult as I use my phone to take most of the photos for my blog. However, I will be purchasing my dream camera some time soon and giving my blog a makeover.

Dolly Wink, Liquid Liner Pencil.

This liquid liner has been a favourite of mine for a long time. The brush is thin and the liquid itself is very long lasting. However, it annoys me that it can only be purhased in Asia. [It can also be found in some asian stores in Australia but it's much more pricey] If you're lucky enough to be living where this is available, get it! It's definitely the best liquid eyeliner pencil, especially if you're a beginner and haven't mastered the winged eye look.

M.A.C Pressed Blot Powder

I've clearly hit pan on this. This is a powder that my sister actually gave to me and she was saying how it was one of her favourites, so I was pretty keen to try it. I have to say that it doesn't beat the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, but it's definitely not a bad powder. I would recommend it for those who have combination skin and don't exactly have to worry about oil control. [I have this in the shade Medium]

Hourglass, Veil Mineral Primer

I bought this from MECCA for AU$25.00 and this one's the mini travel sized version (10ml). I've repurchased this 3 times and I'm going to continue purchasing this because I'm absolutely in love with it! The reason why I get the mini one is because I can't bring myself to spend AU$69.00 on the 30ml one. Although I know it's probably a lot cheaper since I keep on repurchasing it. I would definitely recommend this to everyone, it's perfect in combination with any foundation or BB cream.

REVLON, Precision Lash Adhesive.

I believe I purchased this from K-MART for about AU$16. I'm not one to wear falsies at all unless it's a special occasion and I absolutely suck at putting them on. However, this is a really good lash glue and I would like to say that it's nearly as good as the DUO lash glue. The only thing is, I only used this about once or twice and left it there for a few months and it dried up. It may have been because I didn't take proper care of it, but the product itself works wonders with falsies.

CAUDALIE, Lip Conditioner.

My sister gave this to me a while back when she was clearing out her makeup. To be honest, it's nothing special. Although Caudalie is a high end brand, I much prefer my EOS and Babylips.  I wouldn't recommend buying this as it's probably not worth the price that it retails for.

Makeup Forever, HD Foundation

This is by far the best everyday foundation for my skin. I love how it feels lightweight and it has some decent coverage too. (I wouldn't recommend it for those who are looking for high coverage) I also have to note that the coverage is build able. I'm in the shade N120 which matches me perfectly, many foundations are either too pinkish or grey on my skin but the HD foundation has a few options for yellow undertones, It also photographs beautifully on the skin.

Sorry about how short this post is, I promise I'll be blogging more once my exams are over :)
Have a good Sunday!

  1. Wow! It must've felt so satisfactory when you literally hit pan on that MAC blotting powder! I've been meaning to find a really good powder that had good oil control and there's a lot of hype on the Rimmel stay matte powder so i have to try that out! I've also been dying to try the MUFE foundation so can't wait until Sephora opens up at the end of the year! Good luck with the rest of your exams :)
