Personal Update #KARYNGOESTOMALAYSIA

Hey lovelies :)

As most of you know I'm actually in Malaysia right now. I'm here for a holiday to spend time with some family and do some major shopping and eating haha (and maybe working on a little somethingsomething for my blog too?) I was able to actually complete all the things on my beauty bucket list in this one trip with the help of all the amazing stores here.

I just wanted to write a really short post here to update and inform you that heaps of changes will be happening to the website and you should be super excited for it! I would love if any of you have a google account, to follow this blog in the new widget that I've popped in at the side! I've also been chatting away with a few beauty bloggers on maybe working on some collaborations for you hehe!

Anyway I don't have much time because I'm hogging my grandfather's iPad (yes he has an i pad, and an iPhone, and yes 84)

Love you all!

September Beauty Favourites!

Hello to all my amazing readers! I'm bringing my September favourites to you today. Firstly, I'd like to apologise for the horrible photography. So many things went wrong in preparation for this post and I promise that the photos will be much better the next time round. Secondly, I need to apologise for the state that my Stilla bronzer is in. (Holy cow, it's hella dirty!) With all that said, let's get to it.
1. Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette: [Click here] My dad brought this back for me when he went on a short business trip to Malaysia. He used to come home with free coloured paper from his office when I was younger, I think it's safe to say he's learning how to win my heart. In all seriousness, I'm so grateful for having a father who takes time out of his trip to satisfy my makeup desires. The moment I opened the packaging, I fell in love with how well Urban Decay has managed to create such a beautiful palette. I have to say that out of all the Naked series, Naked 2 is definitely a champion. Also, Urban Decay never fails to provide perfect pigmentation, one swipe and you're good to go! I'll probably do a tutorial or swatch post soon.

2. Stilla Stay All Day Bronzer : [Click here] (Shade: Light) I received this bronzer as a complimentary gift when I repurchased my Giogio Armani perfume from a website named strawberry.net. At the time, I wasn't really too fond of contouring my face so I neglected it. However, in the month of September I've been loving the way it looks on my skin. It photographs beautifully and allows light to hit your face in all the right places. The edition that I have is the older one and they don't sell it in that packaging anymore but their new packaging is said to have the exact same content. Mecca Cosmetica recently cut down their price on it, so get on it!

3. Maybelline Colour Eyeshadow Tattoo: [Click here] I have so many of these but my absolute favourite is in the shade "Bad To The Bronze". Oh my goodness, pigmentation is mindblowing. Application, too easy. This is a holy grail product for an everyday look. Pop it on all over your lid and darken it in with a darker eyeshadow on the outer edges. (I use Snakebite from the Naked 2 Palette) Absolutely perfect, only have good things to say about this.

4. Essie Nail Polish (Pink About It):  How excited were all us Aussie girlies when we found out that Essie nail polish was coming down under? After watching multiple youtubers rave about it, I was desperate to give it a shot. I understand that it's now selling at Priceline. Personally, I'm not willing to spend AU$17 on one nail polish so I got mine off CatchOfTheDay for only about $5 including shipping which is amazing! I'll be honest and let you know that I wasn't too fond of the colour when I first received it. However, the consistency and staying power blew me away, definitely going to grab a few other colours.

5. Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation: [Click Here] I've been using this foundation for about 4 months and completely understood why everyone was raving about it. But only recently have I been loving the benefits of it. The coverage is on point for the days where I'm feeling like I need a bit more than BB cream. However, I'd only recommend this for those who actually need the coverage. If you have decent skin that only needs to be evened out, I'd go for something a bit lighter.

6. Nivea Lip Butter (Caramel Cream):
[Click here] I ended up grabbing this because it was on sale at Coles for only 50cents and me, being the hoarder that I am, got sucked in. I'm really not too fond of this style of packaging due to the fact that I have to dig my nails into it. But the smell of this, oh my. I'm horrible at explaining scents but just think about fresh caramel popcorn, nailed it. I just got off a plane and I applied this at the start and my lips are still moisturised, amazing!

7. NYX Blush: [Click here] (Peach) If you know me at all, I'm not a blush girl. I flush so easily so I really don't find blush necessary. But I decided to try more blushes to go along with my beauty bucket list. This blush is a really old blush that I actually stole off my sister. It's a matte baby pink shade that is subtle and definitely perfect for my skin. It gives a healthy glow and I think it's a great blush for beginners.

If you want more info on any of the products, please contact me and let me know!
Thanks so much for reading loves :)

Airplane/Travelling Essentials

Hi everyone ! :) I'm so excited to bring this "mini series" to you. As I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I'm going to Malaysia! So I'm super excited to bring you on the journey with me. I thought it would be fun to let you know what I like to bring onto the plane when I go on long flights. (8 hours in a cramped up dehydrated environment, yuck!) PS: I know I said that I'd post my September favourites up today but some things went wrong with taking the photos for it so keep posted for that.

Wallet: This is extremely basic, you're going to need this to keep your money, cards, boarding pass and all that important information.

Technology: Whether its your phone, iPod, iPad, laptop or anything else, you're going to want to listen to some music or watch some videos. (I've already synced 4 episodes of Pretty Little Liars into my phone hehe). Don't forget to pack some headphones too!

Snacks: Photographed above is some KitKat and Sour Patch Kids. I never ever enjoy eating airplane food, it usually makes me feel really sick after.

Makeup bag: I never wear makeup when I get on a long plane ride due to the fact that it usually breaks me out. But I bring my makeup on the plane so that I don't have to worry about it getting crushed in my check in and in case I have somewhere to go when I land. (Remember to keep all your liquids contained in a see through makeup bag or zip lock bag. Also, make sure that they're all under 100ml due to airplane regulations). My bare essentials are foundation, mascara, some oil blotting sheets, eyeliner and I pop a travel sized perfume in there too. [Sheer Love, Victoria Secret]

Lipbalm & Moisturiser: I think we all know that airplanes drain the life out of your skin and lips! Remember to constantly apply moisturiser all over and hydrate your lips.

Personal Essentials?
- Sanitary Pads : Girls, enough said.
- Journal & Bible : During the flight, I like to do my devotions and read the Bible.
- Sunglasses & Reading Glasses : I usually have to wear my reading glasses so that I don't get a massive headache while I'm reading. Also, Malaysia is extremely sunny and hot so sunglasses are a must. (And my eyes look dreadful after a long flight)
- Hand Sanitiser :  I'm not a big fan of going to the toilet on planes (the sound of the flush scares me) but I'm constantly touching my face and I want my hands to be clean. My personal favourite hand sanitiser is the fig&coconut Palmolive hand sanitiser.

#YUMSPIRATION [Healthy Breakfast/Dessert Recipe; Strawberry & Coconut Goodness]

Hey loves :) I'm finally getting my first official lifestyle recipe up for you all! In this series I'll be posting about quick and easy (and delicious) recipes that I use on an everyday basis. Today, I'll be sharing with you a really quick snack that I created which would be perfect to have as a post workout snack or at as a dessert. Healthy eating is definitely not my specialty so I'll try to make it as healthy as possible for you. However, I'll promise you that I never eat anything that isn't yummy, no matter how healthy it may be, it has to taste good.

 What you'll need?
Strawberries (4-5) : Strawberries are definitely one of my favourite berries. But I reckon that this recipe would be amazing with some raspberries, blueberries or bananas. I usually just use whatever I have at the time.
Plain Greek Yoghurt (2-4 tbsp) : Chobani yoghurt is personally my favourtite brand of greek yoghurt. The best thing about it is the fact that it has a good amount of protein in it, and the fact that they have flavoured ones too. If you're on a strict diet I'd recommend getting the plain flavour due to the fact that the other flavours have a higher sugar content. (I'm not, I stole my sister's yoghurt, whoops. I'd usually go for the coconut flavour)
Strawberry Jam (1 tsp) : Plain Chobani yoghurt may be healthy but I'll be honest, it tastes really strange. Adding some jam would add loads more flavour and sweeten it up a little. I love jam that has huge strawberry chunks in it.
Coconut Chunks/Chips (A million handfuls): I am literally eating this as I type. Coconut Chips are the best thing ever. They absolutely make the whole dish. I also love eating them by itself. The ones that I use have sugar in it but you can get organic ones too.
Get creative and make it look pretty so you can instagram it hehe [#rynspiration]! Unfortunately, presentation and I live in struggle city. So I'd just chuck everything in a bowl rather than my fail attempt that is demonstrated in the photo above (whoops). Also, don't forget to pile those coconut chips on!

Here's the finished product (once again, struggling so hard to make it look presentable.
I even had to change the cup that I originally prepared it in because it was that ugly. Anyway, hope you enjoyed this lazy Sunday post. I know it doesn't look too great but I hope the taste of it will convince you ;) (those coconut chips oh my.) And yes, it's 2pm and I'm still wearing my pjs.

I'm actually going on a last minute trip soon (hint: Malaysia .. hint : Sephora!) So I'll be doing loads of shopping and trying my best to complete my beauty bucket list. September favourites will be up on Wednesday and stay tuned for more posts.

Beauty Bucket List

Hey loves :) I've been really busy this week but I promised myself that I'd try to post twice a week. So here we go! I decided  to create a beauty bucket list and give myself a time frame to try all these things (the end of December).

1. Colour, much more colour!
For the most part, my makeup and fashion stays pretty neutral. Once in a while I'd pop on a bright lippy in summer or a bright top on a special occasion. But otherwise my wardrobe consists of a lot of white, black, grey, denim and other dull colours. By the end of the year my aim is to experiment with more colour in my makeup looks and what I wear.

2. Get the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans.
When the trend came out, I jumped on that bandwagon asap but jumped off it just as fast. I found the fit of most of them to be unflattering or tacky on me, but I'm still on the hunt and I won't give up.

3. Be more adventurous with my hair.
My hair has been growing like crazy for the past few months, so might as well take advantage of it before I cut it after high school! I'm torn between dying it dark or getting balayage done in the holidays.

4. Rock my sneakers more often.
During winter it's been combat boots all day everyday. I've slightly abandoned my nikes and converse. I'm aiming to slowly ease back into them during summer.

5. Try new drugstore products.
I've always been scared of using drugstore products due to the fact that I have sensitive skin. However, lately my skin has been getting lots better. Therefore I'm aiming to try at least one new drugstore foundation, a new eyeshadow pallete and a new powder.

6. Experiment with blush.
I'm not much of a blush girl due to the fact that I flush so easily, but I recently received a few blushes so I'm gonna try and make them work and let you know how it goes.

7. Wear more dresses.
During summer I usually rock playsuits and shorts and maybe a few simple dresses here and there. But my goal is to get a few maxi dresses and pair them with vests and denim jackets. We'll see how it goes :)

8. Accesorise!
I used to be really big on statement necklaces and bangles but I just stopped for no reason at all. I'd really like to get into midi rings and dainty little necklaces and bracelets. My issue with rings has always been the fact that I lose them after wearing them a few times.

What's on your beauty bucket list? :)

#SUNDAYFUNDAY [Taking care of .. YOU]

ft. Cleanclothes Candle, The Honor Key, VS Body Mist (Sheer Love), Coconut Chobani Yoghurt, Frank Body Scrub, GlamGlow Mask.
Hi ! As much as I love blogging about things like makeup and fashion, I believe in taking care of yourself from the inside too. (*cringe*) Throughout the week, things get a bit hectic and crazy, sometimes I forget to take time to stop and relax. Here's a few things you can do to take care of yourself to make sure that you're still sane.

1. Make yourself a satisfying breakfast
As we all know "breakfast is the most important meal of the day". I love telling you guys about makeup and fashion but what's more important is taking care of your body. I used to never eat breakfast (I still don't sometimes, whoops) but whenever I do, I feel so much more energised. Whether it be fruits or bacon, just get something in that tummy of yours to start the day! My personal favourite is coconut yoghurt with strawberries, blueberries and granola!

2. Give yourself a manicure
After working throughout the week and washing dishes, my hands tend to feel a little bit gross and dry. I love pampering myself by taking time out of my day to paint my nails and watch youtube videos or listen to some music. You don't even have to paint your nails, just get rid of them dead cuticles with a clipper, shape your nails and moisturise! I love O.P.I, essie and Revlon nail polishes.

3. EXFOLIATE!
Exfoliate your body, face and lips! Throughout the week, you tend to build up a lot of dead skin all over your body. I have to admit, I'm so lazy when it comes to exfoliating but I know that it's important. I love exfoliating my body and face with Frank body scrub, if you don't have a body exfoliator, there's heaps of DIY exfoliators out there. I also love using Lush bubblegum lip scrub, but I also love making my own. (Honey, sugar and olive oil)

4. Put a face-mask on
Face masks are a really good way to perk up your mood and feed your skin. I usually use hydrating masks in winter and detox masks in summer. Once again, you don't have to spend a ton on masks, there's a lot of tutorials out there that utilises the ingredients that you have at home.

5. Exercise
Ew, exercise. I'm definitely not the fittest person out there. I get so lazy and if it was my choice, I'd rather be sleeping (or shopping!). But ever since I've started to exercise and make the effort to go to the gym, I feel so much more awake. Don't forget that your body is perfect just the way it is (I know, hella corny.) But it's true, exercise for you and your own health, not for anyone else.

6. Read
I love reading. Featured in the photo is a book called "The Honor Key" written by Pastor Russell Evans from Planetshakers Church. I'm reading it for the second time, it's such an absolute blessing. Of course everyone has their own preferences and some of you probably even hate reading! Maybe try a magazine or a blog that suits what you like.

7. Absorb some Vitamin D
For all us Melbourne girls out there, the sun is finally starting to shine! Take advantage of it while it's here. I love hanging out in my backyard in summer while watching youtube videos. (Just don't forget to wear sunscreen and moisturise to keep that tan)

8. Take a nap
Sleep. That's a word that I love. Personally, I function better when I take short naps. Try to take 20-30 minute naps maybe once or twice a day and you'll definitely see an improvement in your energy levels. There's a science behind it but.. let's  be honest, me and science don't go well together.

9. Encourage someone
Pampering yourself is important, of course. But sometimes as people, we get a bit stuck in our own little world. Take a few minutes out of your day to call or text an old/new friend to tell them that you miss them or just thank them for being them. I moved schools a year ago and I always try to make the effort to tell my besties that I miss them and that they're loved (though I do slack off sometimes.) The way you make the people around you feel, says something about yourself.

10. Do something that you love
Passionate about something? Do it. That's the best thing that you can do to take care of yourself is to do what you love. For me? I'm doing it right now :)

"LOO$E CHANGE MENU" [DRUGSTORE MAKEUP EDITION] #1

Hey loves! Today I'll be sharing with you my top drugstore products that I think will be suitable for all us penny pinchers out there. As all you Aussie girls out there know, the prices of the products in Australia compared to America are ridiculously expensive! But these are just some of the things that I think are worth purchasing due to the price and quality. [All under $20] These are all my opinions and I'm not getting sponsored for this.

1. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water [400ml, Priceline, AU$11.99]
I use this as my everyday makeup remover, and love it. I've tried many makeup wipes and found them to be way too harsh on my acne prone skin. I then resorted buying Bioderma about two years ago, (AU$30 for 200ml) it was such a small bottle and it didn't last very long nor did it make a drastic improvement in my acne. Ever since then I had been on the hunt for a dupe, Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water was the answer! However, there are a few differences compared to Bioderma. (Let me know if you want me to do a comparison post, though there's heaps out there) PS: It's on sale at priceline now for only AU$9.49 and I repurchased it from coles a while ago for only AU$6.00 Click here

2. Elf Essentials Eyelid Primer [Kmart, AU$3.00]
I used to work at a Subway that was next to a Kmart a while back, definitely not a good idea to leave me in the makeup aisle when I'm bored but I decided to pick it up one day since it was so cheap. My eyelids do get quite oily, especially in summer. I've tried a sample of Urban Decay's renown eyelid primer when I was in Malaysia, and didn't pay attention to the effects that it had on my eyeshadow. But it's safe to say that it's really quite similar as the Elf Essentials Eyelid Primer. I'd recommend it for girls who struggle with smudging and fading eyeshadow. PS: Not all Kmarts stock it so check online or call them beforehand.

3. Maybelline Eye Studio Master Shape Brow Pencil [0.6g, Priceline, AU$11.50]
BROWS. ARE. IMPORTANT. Brows frame your whole face and I think strong eyebrows makes a look so much more defined and beautiful. I recently repurchased this. This eyebrow pencil was the only drugstore one that I actually liked. I remember getting my makeup done for formal and the artist used a beautiful (but expensive!) brow pencil on me. I wouldn't say that it's perfect as it does have a few negatives, but it's totally worth the price compared to other ones. Click here

4. Covergirl LashBlast Volume Waterproof Mascara [13.1ml, Priceline, AU$17.95]
This is the most expensive product out of all the 5 that I'm mentioning. But guess what? It's on sale now at Priceline for only $10! "Our brush touches each and every lash for volumized lashes at their boldest rain or shine" Definitely lives up to it's claims. This is one of the only drugstore products that smashes any high end ones. [Though I'll be trying the Benefit They're Real mascara soon] This is absolutely a holy grail product for me. I could go on and on about this mascara. Click here

Thanks so much for reading all you lovely people! Part #2 will be up whenever I gather enough products that I think are good enough to rave about!

Original Frank Body Scrub Review!

Hey loves, today I'll be reviewing the babe of all body scrubs, Frank Coffee Original Body Scrub. Go check `em out on Instagram [@frank_bod]!

Price: AU$14.95

Selection: Frank supplies 3 different types of scrubs [Original, Coconut&Grapeseed, Cacao]
I would write about the difference but I don't want to go into too much detail as most of the questions are answered on their FAQS on their website.

Packaging: I think that the packaging for this is absolutely adorable! The packaging basically consists of a resealable paper bag that has labels on both the front and back.

Content: From my experience, (depending on how often you use it, I use it about 1-2 times a week) my first packet of frank lasted for about 2 months! (200g per bag)

Claims: Original Frank aims to target cellulite, stretch marks, psoriasis, varicose veins, eczema and acne with his roasted and ground robusta coffee beans. Judging from the description on the Coconut&Grapeseed Frank and the Cacao Frank, they seem to target the same skin issues but with different ingredients. If you want to read more about the different types of scrubs click here.

Storage: I'm definitely fond of the resealable bag but if that breaks, I'd recommend putting it into a container just to prolong it's lasting life. Do keep it in a dry, cool area. [Don't leave him in the shower loves!]

Application: Frank provides you with instructions as to how to use him. But to sum it up, you're meant to "Get naked, get in the shower, turn it on, dampen your skin, get rough with circular motions, concentrating on problem areas, leave scrub to dry for 5 to 10 minutes, get clean by rinsing the scrub off your body. Oily/combination skin should use a light body wash to remove excess oil, remember to patch test first if you have sensitive skin."

MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH FRANK? [skip this if you don't wanna read my rant]
I met Frank back in January and repurchased him twice ever since. I was initially attracted to the fact that he claims to remove acne and eczema scars. Both of which I had and still struggle with a bit. I believe that Frank drastically improved the scars on my legs within the first two weeks of use. My acne on the other hand, was cured with the help of something else. Initially, I had eczema scars all over my leg due to my eczema as a child but Frank managed to lighten (not fully remove) those scars! I absolutely love exfoliating my face with this! I have really sensitive skin but it doesn't do any harm to my skin which I love!

PROS
- Nice way to pamper yourself
- Reasonably priced considering that it lasts for such a long time
- Lightens scars and leaves skin feeling smooth

CONS
- EXTREMELY messy to use
- You smell like coffee for a day or two [unless you're into that kinda thing]
- Doesn't necessarily live up to all it's claims

Overall, I definitely don't regret purchasing this scrub and will continue to repurchase it and try the other two. I would recommend Frank for those who are looking for a good pampering product ( Do keep in mind that it works differently for everyone )

Have a good day loves!

#SUNDAYFUNDAY [My Other Brother Cafe & Market Day]

My Other Brother Cafe
586 Burke Rd, Camberwell VIC 3124

Lemon and Feta Smashed Avo + Mushrooms
+ Poached Eggs + Gluten Free Toast.

Latte & Hot Chocolate

Hey loves!
Thought I'd give you a peak at my Sunday! Woke up at about 7am struggling to open my eyes haha. Went down to a cafe in Camberwell called My Other Brother [Check `em out on Urban Spoon or get down there and grab a coffee] I had the Smashed Avo with Mushrooms and Poached Egg, which was amazing. All AVO lovers out there have to give it a taste! Thumbs up for the hot drinks there too, coffee art was spot on!
Only have good things to say about this cafe, go show them some love.

I also went thrift shopping after which was really fun and I got some really great bargains! [Should I do a haul?]

Anyway that pretty much sums up my morning! Checked my page views and I'm absolutely mind blown and honoured at the amount of readers for the first three days! So much love for all of you! Have a happy #sundayfunday and let me know what you got up too!

PS: I made a twitter and `bloglovin account so check me out on those!

TAG! You're it! [BeautyBlogger Tag]

Thought a fun way to kick start my blog would be to make a tag! I tag AngelLee, AshleighCalder & MakeUpGuineaPig.

GETTING TO KNOW YOU

3 random facts about yourself?
- I'm in an extremely committed relationship with pizza
- I used to stretch my foot to my ear and pretend it was a phone (May or may not still be able to do that hehe!)
- I'm allergic to cashew nuts

Which country do you live in?
Australia!

What's the meaning behind the name of your blog?
Honestly, it's little bit corny but I just thought it sounded a lot better than what I've tried before (Cringing thinking about it!)

Why did you start blogging?
Thought it would be fun and honestly, I need an online portfolio for a few things I'm applying for! I love makeup and I love getting inspired, so why not share the inspiration?

MAKEUP

If you had to live off one foundation what would it be?
It's really a battle between Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation and Makeup Forever HD (Both not available in Melbourne, sadly) But I'd probably have to pick Tarte's due to the amazing coverage that it provides for me.

What's the most expensive product you've ever bought?
I'm not too sure but I'd have to say the Hourglass Veil Fluid Makeup which retailed for about AU$90 before Mecca did their price cuts.

Which product have you repurchased the most?
Definitely the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer. I love the finish that it provides for my foundation and a little goes a long way so definitely worth the investment!

Smokey & Sexy, Girl Next Door or Bright and Bold?
Girl Next Door. I don't really go too smokey or bright unless it's a special occasion. So on an everyday basis, I'd have to say I'm a Girl Next Door!

Biggest blogger/youtuber inspiration?
Oh SO MANY! I'd have to say HeyClaire, That'sHeart and Zoella. They're all such beautiful girls and their styles are extremely different but I love all of them equally.

Drugstore or high end?
Although I love a good bargain, I'd have to say high end. My skin is pretty sensitive so most high end brands do the trick for me

Bronzer or blush?
Definitely bronzer! I hardly ever wear blush due to how easily my cheeks go pink anyway.

SKINCARE

How many times a day do you wash your face?
2 times a day (morning and night). However on some occasions I'd wash it 3 times a day if I'd have to freshen up and re apply makeup for a night out.

Biggest skin struggle?
Acne! I have pretty acne prone skin. Althought it has been getting a lot better lately, I'm extremely jealous of all the girls out there who only get a zit or two during their TOM.

What's your favourite way to pamper your skin?
Frank body scrub!
He is the biggest babe! He makes my skin feel so damn soft, clean and exfoliated. [DEFINITELY will do a review]

What's your skincare routine like?
It's really not too complicated. I don't switch it up too much unless the weather changes. So it's usually me washing my face in the morning, removing my makeup at night, washing it again, applying toner, acne serum and moisturiser! (All Mario Badescu products). I also like to treat myself with a nice clay mask once a week.

Are you confident to go out without makeup?
It really depends where! Ever since my acne has gotten better I haven't really bothered putting on makeup when I go to the gym or work but otherwise I'm still working on it.

HAIR

Favourite hair product?
The most I'd do to my  hair is blowdry and straighten. I do have many oils and heat protect sprays but never really use them. I find that when I use too many products it takes away the volume in my hair. However, I'm looking to try a good sea salt spray for summer so this might change!

First day hair or second day hair?
Second day hair, no doubt about it.

How many times have you dyed your  hair?
I would have to say more than 10 but less than 15. (I had purple highlights in primary school!)

FASHION

Neutrals or bright colours?
Neutrals all the way! I love wearing black, greys and whites. However, I'm planning to mix things up a bit this summer.

Winter fashion or summer fashion?
I'd probably have to say winter fashion just because there's so much more you can do with layering and what not. However, I do love my lazy shorts and tank top look!

Jeans, shorts, skirts or dresses?
If I had to choose it would probably be jeans. I think there's so much you can do and so many things you can style with them.

Have a good day lovelies!
Don't forget to check out the girls I tagged!

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation Review

*DISCLAIMER : These are just my opinions, I understand that there are many reviews on this foundation. If you do not agree with the review, please press the red cross at the corner of your screen*

Today I'll be reviewing the oh - so - famous NARS Sheer Glow Foundation.

Pricing: I bought the foundation at Mecca Cosmetica for AU$68.00. However, I believe that Mecca has reduced their prices recently and the Sheer Glow foundation currently retails for AU$59.00
*American prices can be found on Sephora*

Colour range: I've been using the shade (MEDIUM2 : SANTA FE) which has a slight pink undertone.     Honestly, this foundation was an impulse buy as the shade that initially matched me (LIGHT TO MEDIUM : CEYLAN) which had a yellow undertone was out of stock so I went for the second closest. I was really quite shocked that SANTE FE matched me so well considering my asian skin.

Application: I believe that many bloggers and you-tubers have mentioned that Sheer Glow is applied best with a beauty blender. However, us Aussies don't have access to the original beauty blender. I use a Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki Brush and love the application of it!

Finish: I definitely have combination skin but mostly oily. The word GLOW really scared me when I tried this foundation and I was leaning towards the Sheer Matte. However, the finish on this foundation is absolutely gorgeous. It wasn't too oily or dewy. It literally, makes you glow!

Coverage: I have acne scars and hyper-pigmentation. The coverage for this foundation on me is Medium. Some would argue that it's full coverage but it's not the case for my skin.

Volume: Standard one fluid ounce.

PROS

- Huge colour range if you have a pink or golden undertone
- Beautiful finish
- Suitable for winter (I'm yet to try it during summer)
- Doesn't break you out (May be different depending on your skin)

CONS
- Expensive (However, in comparison to other high end foundations it's not too bad.)
- No pump! (This really annoyed me as it gets way too messy and so much product is wasted. But apparently you can buy a pump separately for it so I'm definitely gonna hop on that bandwagon!)
- Colour selection in Australia isn't fantastic for skin with yellow undertones

Rating: I rate NARS Sheer Glow Foundation an 8/10. It definitely lives up to it's name and I don't regret buying it at all. It's worth the price that it retails for and is perfect for everyday wear and even a special occasion. It would definitely be a 9/10 if the packaging had a pump! :(
